Dangerous Goods Storage.

At The Plant Yard, we offer a variety of dangerous goods storage solutions for hire. These solutions include; chemical storage cabinets, flammable storage cupboards, dangerous goods storage containers and environmental spill pallet bunds. Having correct chemical safety practices is extremely important on construction sites to ensure works can be completed safely.

Dangerous Goods Storage Containers

Our dangerous goods storage containers are ideal for larger jobs. They are used as storage spaces for any hazardous materials such as thinners, paint, diesel, oils, class 3 flammables, chemicals and many other dangerous goods. They are compliant and bunded floor as per regulation. They are also lockable, which ensures your dangerous goods remain untouched overnight.

Chemical Storage Cabinets

Our chemical storage cabinets are a requirement when storing flammable and corrosive liquids. Examples of some common flammable liquids found on sites are fuels (diesel, petrol), oils, methanol and acetone. Examples of corrosive products are hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, chromic acid, acetic acid hydrofluoric acid, ammonium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide. When storing flammable liquids and corrosive substances they must be either stored in separate cabinets or stored at least 3 metres apart according to Australian Standards.

Spill Containment Pallets

Our spill containment pallets can be easily relocated around site via forklift. The EPA regulations specify that it is required that all primary containers and drums such as fuel and oil, must be stored in a bunded area. The bunded areas must contain at least 110% capacity of the biggest drum or container in the case of a spillage.
