No, we only hire out our construction equipment. Hiring our equipment as opposed to buying will minimise storage needs, maintenance costs, insurance costs, legislation costs, and other cost associated with owning equipment.

Yes, our items are available to be picked up by our customers. We also offer a delivery service.

Delivery costs will depend on what vehicle is required for the delivery (ute, tilt tray, crane truck). It will also depend on the distance from our Sydney depot. Make sure when requesting a quote, to let us know where you would like your items delivered so we can give you an appropriate transport cost.

We can deliver all along the east coast of Australia depending on the item. Let us know where and we will get you a quote.

Yes, for many of our items, we can arrange a discounted rate for longer term hires. Especially on our bulky items.

We accept payment via cash, cheque and bank transfer.
We do not accept credit card payment.

Site Waste

Our crane bins are an integral part of any construction site waste management. We have provided several waste management tips here.

Concrete washout occurs after concrete is poured on site. To prevent concrete blowback, the chutes of the concrete pumps must be washed out to remove the remaining concrete and waste water before it hardens. To prevent environmental disaster it is crucial to have a washout system in place. By using one of our concrete washout skips or concrete blowout bins for hire, any risk of leakage is eliminated.

The sedimentation tank enables suspended particles to settle out of water as it flows through the tank. A layer of sludge is formed then removed.

Our portable toilets can be connected to sewer or septic systems available on building and construction sites.
Cranes

By using our concrete kibbles it is possible to easily transfer concrete from truck to site location required via overhead crane. They can also be used and moved with a forklift.

Our self tipping excavation bins have a capacity of up to 3 cubic metres and are an efficient method for disposal of large volumes of soil. With the use of a crane, the crane bin design enables for it to automatically tip when lifted. This enables easy and quick loading of tipper trucks.

Our lifting cages can be used for kitchen cupboards, joinery, ducting, door jambs, windows, and other bulky items which are difficult to transport.
Working at heights

There is birdcage scaffolding, trestle scaffolding, hung scaffolding, single pole scaffolding, suspended (swing stage) scaffolding, tower and mobile scaffolding. We only provide tower and mobile scaffold for hire.

Safety and ease of access of trucks is possible during washing, accessing, loading and unloading. Our truck loading platforms have 45 degree handrailed stair and a self closing swing gate. As excavations are generally the first stage of works, the benefits of hiring the adjustable access stairs greatly outweighs purchasing them outright. It is much more cost-effective and using our range gives access to all sizes. They are available for short and long term hire at discounted rates.

The Plant Yard offer a variety of dangerous goods storage solutions for hire. Our range of site storage solutions include plumbers boxes, flammable liquids containers, dangerous goods containers and gas cylinder storages.

The Code of Practice: Managing the work environment and facilities states the rules and regulations for providing drinking water during construction work. It clearly says that An adequate supply of clean drinking water must be provided free of charge for workers at all times. The Plant Yard water bubblers for hire are a cost effective method of meeting the requirements.

Road plates are used for street crossings, covering trenches, covering road potholes, pits in roadways, temporary access over unstable or muddy terrain and they can also be used to temporarily cover holes to avoiding unnecessary back filling. This can enable continued vehicle access during road works and excavations.
